REMINDERS for the week of March 1

Care Packages for Concordia Workers   As a thank you and service project during Lutheran Schools Week, the students will be making care packages for the dedicated employees at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.  The staff at Concordia has given so much during this past year in dealing with the pandemic.  The students are making cards, bookmarks, and other items.  The students will then pack the care packages and we will deliver them to Concordia. Our goal is to prepare 250 bags.   We are asking for the following donations to help with our project:

  • Sandwich Crackers (Individually wrapped packages such as Lance, Ritz, etc.)   Have enough

  • Packaged Snacks (Individually wrapped Cheez-Its, Goldfish, cookies, nuts, dried fruit, trail mix, pretzels, etc.)

  • Hard candies, mints (individually packaged/wrapped)  Have Enough

  • Lip balm

  • Packages of gum

Please have all donations at school by Friday, March 5.  Please remember—all items must be individually packaged. Thank you for all your help.

Lutheran Schools Week 2021    The week of March 7-13 has been designated as Lutheran Schools Week at St. Luke and we are planning many special activities.  All school children will be singing a special recorded song at worship on Sunday, March 7.  Come in person and worship or watch online on the St. Luke YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjfwxzydGKWBbeCB8qgywnA .  We are looking forward to a wonderful week of fun and celebration together!

Green Eggs and Ham  Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 2  we celebrate Dr. Seuss and Green Eggs and Ham Day, sponsored by PTL.  This will be a small portion, not a full lunch.  Be sure to send a regular lunch with your child.

Chapel Offerings   Offerings are adding up for our three missions—Soles4Souls, Open Door Ministries, and Promise of Life.  So far, we have gathered over $8,000 from Chapel, Scrip rebates, Christmas Shop change and the Annual Fund tithe.  Thank you for your gifts and prayers.

Coin Banks   Please use these banks to collect your spare change to benefit all three of our missions.  We will collect the banks at chapel on Friday, March 12.

PTL Meeting     All school parents are invited to our monthly PTL meeting tonight, Monday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library.  Come find out what’s happening and share your ideas, opinions, and support!
