Core Values
Education at St. Luke is best understood through its core values, which are woven into daily life at the school. These values embody the high expectations of our school and help build the experience of a truly higher education.
Christ is at the center of everything we do
Integration of the faith is important to all areas of the curriculum. Equipping students for a life of worship, prayer, service, and devotion to the Word is essential. (John 14:6; Psalm 119:105)
Excellence in academics
High academic achievement and critical thinking skills are stressed. Substantial effort is placed upon cultivating Christian servant leaders who can positively impact the future. (Philippians 1:9-10; Proverbs 3:5-6)
Train the whole child
Each student is recognized for his or her own unique God-given gifts, with the primary focus on encouraging each child to grow in faith and understanding. (Proverbs 22:6 ; Psalm 111:10)
Biblically-based
The Bible is used to root the children in a Biblical world view, as conveyed by God through His inspired Word and standing as the only true authority .
(2 Timothy 3:15-17)
Mission-minded and Service-oriented
Making and Maturing Disciples for Ministry and Mission is an integral part of the students' faith development. A faithful heart regarding the needs of others is nurtured. Acts of Christian service are emphasized. Opportunities to serve others are incorporated into the curriculum. (1 Peter 3:15; Matthew 25:40)
Partnership
We value the partnership between church, school, and family. Working together and developing solid, healthy relationships ensures God's children the best environment for growth. (Ecclesiastes 4:9; Matthew 18:20)
Positive school climate
A supportive Christian atmosphere is upheld which promotes respect for self and others, self-discipline, wholesome character and a sense of Christian community. (Philippians 4:8)
